Training

Our 15 years of professional experience with dogs of all kinds gives us a deep insight into dog behavior.

Our Balanced Approach

Reynolds Dog Resort’s certified dog trainers have experience in various proven and positive-focused dog training methods. This allows our trainers to assess your dog’s individual situation and provide effective basic obedience training. We offer Dog Training at our McMinnville, West Linn, and Tualatin locations.

Our comprehensive system is designed for three major objectives:

  • Teach your dog to respond to verbal commands
  • Teach you and your family how to maintain & even improve your dog’s behaviors at home
  • Provide training tools and ongoing support to ensure lasting results

FAQs

Our professional dog training programs are based on a customized, one-on-one experience between our trainers and your pet. We’ve found group classes are simply not as effective, and we’re not offering them at this time.

We can definitely do our best to help manage their habits and behaviors, but we do not have any trained behavioral specialists at this time.

We recommend starting training as early as six months. However, in some cases, we can start training earlier.

Our training programs are designed so your dog works with multiple trainers throughout their training. This helps dogs associate the desired behaviors with the cues and commands, rather than with the individual giving them.

Yes! Our trainers have experience training all breeds. When customizing your dog’s unique training program, we take their breed into account to develop the best, positive approach.

We require our canine pupils to be up to date on their vaccinations for rabies, distemper, and Bordetella.

Most dogs thrive in our Stay & Train programs, but we’ll go over all the best options for you and your dog at your free training evaluation. Call us to schedule yours!

While dogs of any age can benefit from good training with the right combination of patience and repetition, we suggest starting training in puppyhood to set the stage for an easier training experience overall and allow dogs up to 10 years old to participate in training camp.
